Laserframe

Laserframe is structural timber used for residential and commercial building framing. It is pine timber with a new generation of structural classifications. Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products has engineered a full range of building components around updated grades and properties.

Laserframe has evolved from years of development of machine stress grading and kiln-drying techniques by Australasia's largest forestry and sawmilling company. University and Research Institute results have been incorporated in framing design and product data. These will provide optimum performance to building users and be cost efficient to builders and developers.

Laserframe is dried at the sawmill in kilns featuring state-of-the-art control equipment. Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products has the largest sawing and drying installations in Australia/New Zealand and a long history as a quality producer.

The degree of reliability resulting from the machine stress grading programme is reflected in the tables of design properties. These have been developed by Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products into framing tables for roof, wall and floor situations. Truss and frame designers, architects and engineers may, with confidence, use the design properties in conjunction with AS 1720 Timber structures code.
