Good looks without the price tag

IRONwood decking is made in Australia by Carter Holt Harvey Woodproducts and undergoes several different quality processes to ensure good looking, high quality decking boards without the hefty
price of many of the alternatives.

Versatile

IRONwood decking is easy to work with. It can be cut using a conventional hand or electric saws and doesn’t need any specialist
fixings. It is lightweight and thus easy to handle and can be painted or stained to match any colour scheme. Decking boards can also be used to build effective screening in your garden.

Natural underfoot

Enjoy the natural feeling of timber. Timber decking absorbs significantly less heat than masonry or composite products making it much cooler under foot.

Wide range

IRONwood decking is available in two sectional sizes - 70x22mm and 90x22mm and in a range of lengths (2.4m to 5.4m).

Installation and handling information

Which side up?

IRONwood decking comes with one smooth side and one reeded side. We recommend installing the smooth side up so that rain runs off easily, prolonging the life of the deck and making it easy to keep clean.

Finishes

Your deck can be painted, stained or saturated with a clear decking oil to prolong its life and protect against weathering which can cause checking and cracking. We recommend all surfaces are coated with one application of finish before assembly to ensure complete coverage. Additional coats can be applied to the finished project as required.

Fixings

All screws, nails and other fixings in contact with IRONwood decking should be hot dipped galvanised.

Treatment

IRONwood decking is treated with Copper Azole to an H3 level in accordance with Australian Standards.
