IRONwood® Fencing

The wide range of IRONwood fencing products will create a stylish fence to suit any décor. Manufactured from treated plantation pine, the range includes pickets, palings, rails, posts and capping.

IRONwood fencing products are suitable to use to build any outdoor fencing e.g.

  • Pickets are ideal for front fencing
  • Palings are an excellent option for a boundary fence – for extra privacy considering overlapping them
  • Capping protects the end grain of posts and palings from the weather. Can be used on picket fences for a modern look

For in-ground applications such as fencing posts make sure the timber is treated to an H4 level.

Certification & compliance

IRONwood fencing products are are treated to either an H3 or an H4 level in accordance with AS 1604 depending on the product. This makes them suitable for outdoor use.

Treatment Information

All our treated timber is treated in accordance with Australian Standard 1604 and safe to use when handled correctly. The majority of our fencing products are treated with Copper Chrome Arsenate (CCA).

IRONwood is available in different levels of treatment. These are known as hazard classes and range from H1 to H6. The hazard class refers to the environmental hazards the timber can be exposed and still be expected to provide long term performance. Use the hazard table below to determine the correct level of treated timber needed for the job.

Finishing

Finish all surfaces with paint or stains before construction to ensure complete coverage and better protection against the effects of weathering
