IRONwood fencing products are are treated to either an H3 or an H4 level in accordance with AS 1604 depending on the product. This makes them suitable for outdoor use.
All our treated timber is treated in accordance with Australian Standard 1604 and safe to use when handled correctly. The majority of our fencing products are treated with Copper Chrome Arsenate (CCA).
IRONwood is available in different levels of treatment. These are known as hazard classes and range from H1 to H6. The hazard class refers to the environmental hazards the timber can be exposed and still be expected to provide long term performance. Use the hazard table below to determine the correct level of treated timber needed for the job.
