IRONwood logs and sleepers are treated to an H4 level in accordance with AS 1604. This makes them suitable for in-ground use.
IRONwood is available in different levels of treatment. These are known as hazard classes and range from H1 to H6. The hazard class refers to the environmental hazards the timber can be exposed and still be expected to provide long term performance. Use the hazard table below to determine the correct level of treated timber needed for the job.
All our treated timber is treated in accordance with Australian Standard 1604 and safe to use when handled correctly.
The majority of our landscaping products are treated with Copper Chrome Arsenate (CCA). We do produce a limited range of ACQ treated landscaping products.
For more information download our Treated Timber FAQ document.
